There are many cities like Saint-Zotique along lakes or streams. Although it is very pleasant during hot summers, it also means that the soils bordering these streams are often full of water. Thus, homes that rest on these floors may be infiltrated with water. This was the case of one of our clients in Saint-Zotique. The water that seeped into his crawl space harmed all this space and the air of the house. To solve this problem, we carried out a project of encapsulation and waterproofing to make this environment waterproof and impermeable. We are pleased to have been able to install our patented CleanSpace (vapor barrier), SmartSump (sump pump system), LawnScape (discharge line) and IceGuard (pipe freeze protection) products. solve this water problem once and for all.
The foundation walls in this house in Verdun region was damaged because of a constant infiltration of water in the crawl space. We tore off those walls and installed steel columns (Smart-Jack) after building cement bases underneath to make the foundation stronger.
In addition, since it was impossible to install a French drain in the area, we have installed our internal drain ‘the SmartPump, sump pump drain system to solve the problem of water infiltration once and for all.
One of our clients in Montreal called to have her crawl space encapsulated.
The insulation helped solve many issues the client had and had improved the home comfort, healthfulness, energy efficiency and value of the house by insulating the upper floors from the cold, making the Crawl Space clean and letting her use the crawlspace as an additional storage room.
This picture shows the end result of our work, where you can see the big difference between an encapsulated and insulated Crawl Space, and many earth crawl spaces you can find in Quebec.
When a customer called us saying: I have water seeping into my basement near the stairs; we often know what it implies.
We have a product specifically designed for these situations that complements our indoor drain system.
The TrenchDrain is designed to prevent water from entering a home through doors and stairs. It is connected to the WaterGuard subfloor drain to automatically drain water through the SuperSump sump pump system.
Wall cracks and changes in the operation of doors and windows, may point that your foundation is sinking and settling.
Our client was constantly trying to repair and remedy these symptoms without knowing that there was a permanent solution for all those problems, until he found our company and called us for a free inspection!
Following his call, our team of professionals has installed 10 SmartJack support pillars in order to stabilize this house in Saint-Hubert.
The SmartJack support pillars are steel support systems used to stabilize and level the girders and floor joists in a crawl space. In addition they are super strong and are the only solution that addresses soil’s problems.
