In 2015, a client located in Baie-d'Urfé did business with us to install the TripleSafe sump pump system and to finish the basement with finishing products specially designed for basements.

Three years later, our satisfied customer contacted us again because she was now ready to carry out a crawl space insulation and encapsulation project.

Our specialist, therefore, recommended the installation of SilverGlo insulation panels, which are insulation panels made of graphite particles that increase the value of thermal resistance. This insulation is also covered with a radiant barrier to reflect and preserve the heat towards the interior.

The floor has been encapsulated with the CleanSpace vapor barrier membrane, which is a 7-layer expanded polyethylene coating containing an antibacterial additive to block the growth of mold. This membrane blocks the vapors of water that evaporates into the air and redirects them to a well. This crawl space in Baie-D’urfe got flooded during spring time and there was presence of mold that developed everywhere.

Water and moisture was damaging the foundation and the concrete of the place.

We sent our specialist Jerry to perform a full inspection and recommend the best solution.

We started by decontaminating the entire crawl space to eliminate mold and fungi.

And since encapsulation will allow the crawl space to be protected at all times, our team encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier membrane which is a membrane that insulates the house from the earth. And have also added the SilverGlo that sheds water and will not support mold growth or provide a home for pests.

And finally, we stabilized the foundations with our SmartJacks galvanized steel support beams. These beams support the joists and will be highly resistant to the hostile environment of the crawl space.
