Water infiltration can quickly become a nightmare for a homeowner. Unfortunately, this was the case of a resident on the south shore of Montreal, who contacted Basement Systems Quebec in order to have his basement inspected by a specialist. L'année qui a suivi l'achat de la maison (2017), il y a eu une grosse ondée et de l'eau s'est infiltrée au sous-sol (1 po par endroit) Nous avons aspirée et asséché. Par la suite nous avons fait certains travaux à l'extérieur pour éloignée l'eau de la fondation (membrane, rehaussement du terrain, gouttières, etc.) Les travaux réalisés ont eu un impact positif sur ce coté de maison. l'année qui a suivi (2018) il y a eu un autre épisode de forte pluie qui a encore fait entré de l'eau au sous sol. Encore une fois avons asséché et procédé au même type de travaux de 'autre côté de la maison. Cela a semblé efficace. Nous avons aussi changé les fenêtres et construit des margelles. Toutes ces mesures ont aidé grandement. Dernièrement, suite a de fortes pluie, l'entrée du sous-sol (cage d'escalier en béton à l'extérieur) s'est remplie d'eau provoquant une entrée d'eau importante au sous sol. Lors de ce même événement, les mesures que nous avions mise en place n'ont pas suffis. Ceci dit, nous savons que le système de drainage est défectueux et aimerions procéder à une solution plus durable. Notre sous-sol est fini (murs et plafond) le planché est sur le béton (simplement un tapis collé sur le béton). Nous aimerions une solution qui serait peu invasive et qui se ferait par l'intérieur et par la suite nous penserons à refaire un planché.

Nous avons un problème de condensation sur les murs de notre sous-sol, à l'intérieur, qui apparait en hiver, lors de grands froids. L'humidité apparaît sous la solive de rive, à environ 4 pieds au-dessus du sol. Notre sous sol n'est pas fini et les fondations sont visibles en grande partie.
