Winters in our country are distressing times for us and our houses. When crawl spaces are not encapsulated and well maintained, they can lead homeowners to loose both money and comfort.
This is why we always recommend an encapsulation of the crawl spaces by installing a vapor barrier called CleanSpace.
A vapor barrier slows or prevents the evaporation of ground moisture into the crawl space air. If coupled with a waterproofing system, moisture and water can be expelled from the crawl space before it can cause problems. No more rot, rust, mold, odors, insects or other moisture-related problems.

Mr. Greg had bought a chalet in Canton-de-Hatley which had a very humid crawl space. There was mold on the ceiling of the crawl space, water seepage and a clay floor. He contacted Systèmes Sous-sol Québec to find a permanent solution and make his chalet more comfortable.
When our specialist visited the site, there was a humidity level of 88.9% in the crawl space, which is huge.
The solution was to first remove the mold with Mold-X2 and install a SmartSump sump pump system to draw water from the ground outside. Next, our experts laid a stamped polyethylene membrane on the earthen floor that allows water on the surface of the soil to flow to the sump pump system. Over this membrane, they installed our TerraBlock insulation sheets and then our CleanSpace coating. The crawl space access door was made of wood and in poor condition so our experts installed our EverLast door which gives easy access to the crawl space, customizable and above all durable.
Mr. Greg now has a clean and mostly dry crawl space!

This family in Sherbrooke noticed that their crawl space was very humid and dirty. After contacting a consultant, he informed them that this is bad for their health because this air will be infected by mold spores and bacteria, and eventually the air will circulate upwards to their house. In addition, humidity will cost a lot to heat or to air condition.
So when those clients saw on the internet that we encapsulate crawl spaces, they called us. Consequently, we sent our specialist Peter who did a full inspection of the crawl space. He was able to discover where the problem comes from and how to solve it.
Therefore, we installed a system composed of the following products: CleanSpace membrane which is a vapor-barrier specifically designed for crawl spaces, CleanSpace drainage matting to capture and redirect water infiltration and vapor coming from the soil, a SmartSump sump pump that evacuates all the water intercepted outside, an IceGuard on the discharge line to make sure the pipe evacuates the water even if it freezes, a LawnScape discharge line exist to stop it from clogging and finally, a SaniDry dehumidifier and purifier system that make the crawl space air healthy and breathable.
After the installation, our customer’s house and crawl space was healthy again!

Our client Francine who lives in Sherbooke started noticing signs of water infiltration in her basement such as efflorescence presence; mold a mildew existence, wet and rotten wood and when she consulted an engineer he recommended her the installation of a french drain and waterproofing of her foundation walls.
We did exactly that and installed a full waterproofing system that solves all these problems while complying with the engineer's recommendations.
We started by installing a 42 feet of WaterGuard with an inspection port and connected it to a SuperSump and UltraSump.
Then we covered the affected surface with our Cleanspace vapor-barrier that redirects water towards the drain and stop water vapor from condensation.
Finally, to solve the humidity issue and to preserve the organic construction materials, we added a SaniDry dehumidifier and purifier system that drains out automatically and reduces to the risk of mold growth and the costs of heating and conditioning.
After the installation, our client’s basement got very healthy and completely waterproofed!

When an area experiences heavy rain or melting snow, water is absorbed into the ground. Once the soil is saturated and can no longer absorb any more water, the water table begins to rise. As the water table rises under your home’s foundation, hydrostatic pressure develops. The water must find somewhere to go, and it often goes into your basement.
This is exactly what happened in our client’s basement in Sherbrooke, Qc.
When Mr. Lapointe called us, we told him that he needs to install an interior drainage system’ the Waterguard’ to waterproof his place.
An exterior drainage system can do extensive damage to your lawn and cost you a lot of money while an interior drain system will eliminate those elements and do an amazing job at keeping your basement dry.
After the installation took place, our client’s basement was always dry and healthy!

So we installed a CleanSpace Vapor Barrier Liner that will protect the space from the the major issues our client was having!
Then a SmartSump was installed which is specifically designed for crawl spaces to help reduce moisture, remove water and prevent flooding.
Finally our client Danielle has a functional and healthy crawl space and a warm and healthy home!

Mrs. Francine from Sherbrooke was suffering from water infiltration problems in her basement, every year during thaw season , that was ruining all her basement’s furniture and affecting her health since molds where growing all over the place.
Furthermore she wanted to fix this problem for good and after many research on the internet she has founnd Systèmes Sous-sol Québec on google and noticed the big amount of positive reviews and feedback from our clients.
After contacting us, we have sent our engineer for a free inspection and he had recommended the installation of a french drain, the WaterGuard.
We did exactly that and installed a full waterproofing system that solves all these problems while complying with the engineer's recommendations. So we installed a 42 feet of WaterGuard with an inspection port and connected it to a SuperSump and UltraSump. We then covered the affected surface with our Cleanspace vapor-barrier that redirects water towards the drain and stop water vapor from condensation. Since we have waterproofed our cleint’s house in Sherbrooke, our client never had to suffer of any water infiltration problems in her house ever again!

Mrs Decoste a resident of Sherbrooke has contacted us because she noticed water infiltrations her basement. This moisture came from the water seeping through the floor joists of the basement. The moist air is harmful to our client’s health and bad to the house. So our client's concerns were totally right. She called us so that we could send her a specialist to make a complete analysis of the situation, and to recommend the best solution permanently.
Our specialist therefore went and recommended the installation of the WaterGuard French Drain System, which intercepts water infiltration from the floor and walls and redirects them to a SuperSump sump pump system. The cover of this coating also serves as a soil drain. In addition, the water vapor cannot escape because the lid is hermetic. Thus, there will be no moisture that emerges from the pump.
We are happy to have accomplished this beautiful job and to have solved the problem of water and humidity at this client in Sherbrooke!
