Mr. Boutin had a crawl space that was not well insulated and very humid.

He contacted Systèmes Sous-sol Québec to have a dry crawl space and strengthen the support beams, which are made of wood.

Our experts insulated the crawl space walls with our SilverGlo panels and added our CleanSpace vapor barrier to lock in moisture and provide a clear appearance. They replaced the sump pump with our SmartSump system which contains a 1/3 HP cast iron Zoeller pump. And then they added our Sanidry Sedona dehumidifier to control the humidity level and filter the air. In order to reinforce the slowly rotting wooden support beams, they installed galvanized steel SmartJack pillars.

With this solution, Mr. Boutin now has a permanently dry crawl space.

Our customers from Hawkesbury, wanted to use their basement properly but it was not possible due water infiltration and constant humidity.

Water was seeping on the floors, damaging their furniture, stored objects and the basement was constantly wet.

After contacting our company, our foreman Petru Rotaru recommended a complete drainage system to waterproof their basement.

We have installed an interior drain to intercept water coming from the perimeter of the foundation wall, the WaterGuard; a Supersump pump system to pump out water intercepted by the WaterGuard drain; an Iceguard that allows water to get out of your basement even if the pipe freezes in winter and Lawnscape outlet.

Now that the basement has been waterproofed, our clients where able to benefit from the area fully.

Mr. James has contacted us to talk about his infiltration of water in the basement. Water was flowing into the rooms through wall cracks existing in the basement. In addition, a pedestal sump pump was in use, an outdated and inefficient measure to stop heavy rain and spring thaws from leaking into the basement. 

To fix this situation, we dug trenches totaling 60 feet in length to install the WaterGuard interior drain in this perimeter. This allows all incoming water to be redirected to the pump no matter what level this water is coming from. All drainage was connected to the TripleSafe sump pump.

This pump is installed in the ground and the WaterGuard drain is connected to it to draw water to an external discharge line. The pipes are embedded in the floor so as not to waste space and be dangerous by staying at ground level. The TripleSafe contains 3 pumps, one of which runs on battery power during power outages.


To complete the system, we installed 2 LawnScape and IceGuard vents. The first is installed in the grass away from the foundation of your house, and the second is installed in the pipe at the wall. The IceGuard allows water to drain even if the pipe freezes in the winter and the LawnScape is perfect to resist the mud that forms in the grass during rainy periods. Thus, the pipe never blocks, the pump works at all times, and your basement does not enter any more water!

He noticed cracks in the cement blocks as well as moisture; cold soils, musty smells and creaky floors, and the area became a dwelling for pests which eventually prompted her to call us to encapsulate this space under her house.

Bonjour Depuis quelques années nous observons des fissures au sous-sol et une fois par année au printemps avec les fortes pluie il y a infiltration d'eau. Sous la fondation il y a du roc. Nous avons de la céramique sur 95% du sol donc on ne vois pas tout les fissures. On peu voir également des fissures sur les murs. Fondation de beton année 1963 approx. Nous avons un drain français et semble bien fonctionné. Nous avons eu un refoulement égout (autre problème pas rapport au fissures) et devons refaire les murs. Just had our offer accepted on a 1960's built-storey income property in Hawkesbury, ON that has sloped floor, most noticeably in the kitchen. Owner says she has raised floor by one inch by installing new posts in basement in late 1990's. They stopped lifting when the doors could finally close. Doesn't know the cause of the sinking, but has said that it has not sunk any further since the fix.
