Mr. Savard's house was located on a water table. This can cause serious flooding and heavy water infiltration in spring. This is exactly what the client was going through and he knew he had to protect himself against the next water infiltration. His workspace was in the basement, with valuable equipment, so he couldn't afford any additional damage.
The team that was selected for this project is well aware of the reality that comes with groundwater. We therefore installed a WaterGuard drainage system that leads the infiltrated water to the pump, to then be evacuated outside the house, at a safe distance. To this was added the SuperSump pump which can pump 2200 gallons per hour, silently. So when the water gets into the basement, it will be pumped very efficiently. Our client from L’Assomption noticed that his basement floor was sitting on groundwater and the water level inside the ground was higher than outside because of hydrostatic pressure, so he wanted to find a solution for the problem.

Our specialist Mike recommended the installation of the WaterGuard drain over the length of the wall affected by the hydrostatic pressure. The WaterGuard internal drain system contains spacers that line the rear side of the wing and holes below to intercept any seepage through concrete pores, cracks, and wall-to-foot seams.
In addition, the installation of a sump pump system is essential to draw water that seeps into the drain to the outside, far away from home. A sump pump system such as the SumperSump contains several important components other than the pump such as the 100-hole watertight receptacle, an airtight lid, a floor drain in the sump lid, a pump stand and an alarm system.
Now that we have finished the installation, our client is very happy with the results done and doesn’t have to deal with any water infiltration problems again!
