A Richelieu customer had a sump pump in a hole that let the water vapor out. The moisture content in the subsoil was high and this greatly affected the air quality and condition of the organic building materials.
To solve this problem, we installed a SuperSump sump pump system that contains a Zoeller cast iron sump pump. The pump is installed in a hermetic liner and on a support in order to be protected from the sediments. A waterproof cover that contains a specially designed floor drain to let water in without letting the water vapor escape helps prevent air from getting wet.
Finally, the SaniDry dehumidifier is used to filter air and dry it, and to circulate it in the basement to dry objects and building materials. This provides better air quality, prevents mildew from forming and preserves the condition of wood and other materials.
Mrs.Julie, who lives in this House in Saint-Jean Sur Richelieu, had continually suffered from problems caused by the crawl space under the house.
