Mr. Trepanier, located in Chertsey, Quebec, contacted us via our web chat looking for a complete crawl space repair. Our specialist Alexandrine offered to come by for a free inspection. She concluded that the best plan would be to completely encapsulate the crawl space, and add a new sump pump system, dehumidifier, and exterior drainage system.
Our foreman Vincent then went to complete the installation. First, he installed the CleanSpace® Crawl Space Drainage Matting System. This drainage matting system is designed to collect water from the crawl space floor and send it to the sump pump and drainage pipe. It is appropriate for any type of crawl space floor, including dirt and concrete floors. Our team then installed the SmartSump™ Crawl Space Sump Pump system. Specifically designed for crawl spaces, this sump pump system has a high quality Zoeller 1/3-hp cast-iron pump and includes a WaterWatch® alarm to alert you if there is a plumbing leak. Then, we added the CleanSpace® Crawl Space Vapor Barrier to cover the crawl space area. This product is a durable 20mil plastic sheet that is designed to permanently prevent moisture, outside air, and pests from infiltrating into the crawl space.
