Mrs. Paré had heavy water infiltration in her basement. She had lived with this problem for 7 years now. Her goal was to have a guaranteed dry space and to stop damages in her basement, which had been renovated.
She also needed advice on the right solution, this is when she called our company.

Our client had inherited this place in Gore years ago, but the day he decided he wanted to sell it, he faced some obstacles during the sale process after he found out that this house was dealing with a damp crawl space from mold growth, heavy moisture and instability in the support system.

When our specialist went to check this place, they told our client that he needed to encapsulate the crawl space and stabilize it as well.
Since moisture was very high, our team suggested the installation of our CleanSpace vapor barrier and this will make sure that mold will not return again. Beneath the CleanSpace vapor barrier we installed a drainage matting which is designed to keep water from puddling up and force the flow of water towards a newly installed Smart drain for discharge.
Finally we stabilized the place by installing our SmartJack system that provides supplemental support to crawl spaces and can also often lift failing floor joists or beams, taking them back to their original position.

Our client from Gore contacted us in 2016 to talk about his crawl space problem and wanted to know what solutions we can offer him that could solve the problems permanently.
After going for a free inspection, we proposed a complete encapsulation solution and we started the installation process following our customer’s approval.
We first installed a CleanSpace membrane that is an ultra-resistant vapor barrier specifically designed to block water vapor. In addition, we installed the TripleSafe. This system consists of 3 sump pumps, one of which is battery operated during power outages. We also installed another sump pump, the SmartSump, because the space and the amount of water are very bulky. Thus, all this forms a very efficient and safe system which gave our client an extra peace of mind during rain storms and strong winds.

Our client’s real problems started a couple of years ago, when they noticed a weird smell penetrating into their house in Gore, and when they contacted our company we told them that it might be coming from their damp crawl space, but our team will need to inspect their place to give them the exact cause and solutions.

Mrs. Paré from Gore called us after dealing with water infiltrations in her basement. She told us that she changed the french drain two years ago, but this did not keep water from coming in especially during the intense rain that took place and lead to an accumulation of water in the basement.
Fortunately, we are specialists in the field of groundwater infiltration caused by the water table. So we made an appointment with our waterproofing specialist Jorge who was able to analyze the problem, find the sources, and recommend the best solution that would solve the problem permanently.
We started the work by removing all the objects and debris that clogged the space. Then we dug a trench to install the WaterGuard foundation drain. This interior French drain is installed at the joint of the wall and the sole. It makes it possible to intercept the water which comes from the ground, walls and cracks, and the water which infiltrates by the joint because of hydrostatic pressure.
Our WaterGuard is then connected to the SmartSump sump pump system which allows water to be drained away from the house. As the unfinished floor was still rock, we installed a drainage mat and a CleanSpace vapor barrier membrane. This allows the water in the soil to be easily redirected to the drain and the pump while preventing water vapor from rising and humidifying the air as well as harming the sub-floor and floors that will be installed when finishing.
This job was executed perfectly by our team, and our client’s basement was always completely dry and healthy!
