Crawl Space Encapsulation in Gatineau, QC

Mrs. Bernise realized that her house floor was sagging and there was a severe moisture problem causing bad smells in the house that was affecting her health badly.

After finding our company on google, our client contacted us and following his call we sent a team of Professionals to perform a complete encapsulation of the crawlspace.

Our team of Professionals has installed 6 SmartJack support pillars which are steel support systems used to stabilize and levels the girders and floor joists in a Crawlspace, they are super strong (support loads of more than 60,000 lbs.), and is the only solution that addresses problem soils.

In addition, our team has installed our CleanSpace membrane which is specifically designed to create an ultra-resistant moisture barrier, which will greatly help prevent mold growth.

After the installation, Mrs. Bernise Problem where fixed permanently and she was very happy that Basement systems Quebec has encapsulated her crawlspace area.

Crawl Space repaired in Gatineau, Qc

Mrs. Marcil from Gatineau had a dirty and wet crawl space that was affecting her entire home.

Her dry crawl space was letting in unwanted pests such as insects, dust mites, and spiders. In addition to bad odors that where coming from the mold and rotten wood existing in her crawl space, as well as to the existing leaking that makes it  very easy for these odors to make their way into the house

Furthermore she has found Systèmes Sous-sol Québec’and realized that the only way to fix it is to encapsulate the area.

Our specialist therefore recommended the best installation of the following : Drainage matting that  improves drainage and significantly enhances the liners durability;a CleanSpace membrane to keep moisture from entering the area through the dirt floor, as well as directly through the open pores of the concrete from the ground beyond; a SmartSump which is a customized sump pump system for your crawl space area, and is a key part of our crawl space vapor barrier system.

After the Encapsulation, Mrs. Marcil never felt any better since she never had to live with a damp, moldy, and poor crawl space that was affecting badly on her entire house.

Encapsulate your crawl space!

If you have a crawl space similar to that of this client in Gatineau, do not wait encapsulate it now. Earthenware, ventilated or unconditioned crawl spaces result in high humidity levels. In addition, wet spaces are conducive to the growth of insects, bacteria and molds. Moist air moves from your crawl space to the rest of your home. So if your air is humid and unhealthy, your whole house is. This creates discomfort in the humidity level of the house and breathing. This also causes high costs in heating and cooling.

The foundation problems at the crawl space level are also a big problem, as your whole house rests on your foundation and support beams. Concerns about doubts about the foundation and the crawl space are a source of stress, but we can help you get rid of them.

As our client did, installing the following products will fix your void space issues:

- CleanSpace (membrane that permanently separates your house from the ground).

- EverLast crawl door (plastic waterproof door to replace the rotting wooden door).

- Neutralizing Mold-X (more mold on your wooden support beam).

- SmartJacks (high capacity adjustable steel piles designed for crawl spaces).

- SmartSump (our sump pump designed for small spaces such as crawl spaces).

- IceGuard (discharge pipes designed for our cold and ice cold winters).

- LawnScape Outlet (water outlet for grass that blends into the decor).

Crack and water = bad combo

When your basement is a storage place for your decorations, your souvenirs, your winter and garden accessories, having water infiltration is a big problem and a source of stress. This was the case for one of our clients in Gatineau. He called us one day to tell us that he found a crack that let in water into the basement.

We immediately gave him an appointment and sent our specialist to make a complete and detailed inspection. Jorge, our system design specialist, took the time to explain to the Courchesne family the sources of the problem and the best solutions to solve it permanently.

First, we started by closing the crack with FlexiSpan. Then, our specialist advised to install a perimeter of Waterguard, an efficient interior drain with ports of inspection to ensure it operates effectively during the annual service. Our SuperSump has been installed to efficiently pump water that seeps through a powerful 1/3 HP cast iron Zoeller pump. IceGuard is essential for Quebec winters and LawnScape is great for our rainy summers!

This solution helped our customer protect his storage room. He was very satisfied with the proposed solution, the work done and the professionalism of our team. In the comments section of our evaluation, he even wrote "Friendly, polite, courteous and competent employees! "

Your satisfaction is our priority!

Basement waterproofing to basement finishing in Gatineau

Alexander reached out to us back in 2014 to tell us about his water infiltration issues in his basement. After looking up our company and reading about our innovative products, he was extremely interested in knowing more about the Waterguard, our patented internal drainage system! He called us to schedule and appointment with one of our system design specialist, who presented him the best solutions to waterproof his basement.

We installed for Alexander a WaterGuard drainage perimeter with an inspection port, a TripleSafe Sump Pump, a LawnScape outlet and finally, an IceGuard. This solved their water problems efficiently!

In 2017, a few years later, he called us back because he was preparing the second phase of his renovation project: finishing his basement once and for all.

Our specialist recommeded the installation of more WaterGuard with two inspection ports, a SaniDry XP to keep the air pur and dry, a CleanSpace Wall, a SilverGlow Wall Insulation, SilverGlow Insulated panels and some Basement to Beautiful Insulation

Now, our client can finally use his basement and is reassured that it's a safe, healthy and valuable room in his house.

Gatineau, QC Basement Waterproofing

Mr. Alex S and his wife owned a house in Gatineau since years and they were very happy and enjoying it until one day water started to flood inside their basement and infiltrates inside the walls which caused all the furniture to be ruined in addition to the humidity problems that made them sick easily.

Our customers had already a French drain installed in addition to an old sump pump but this didn’t prevent all the problems to occur and aggravate each year especially that their discharge line was blocking during heavy rains.

After contacting many companies that failed to fix their problem, our clients have monitored our company’s work throughout the internet and decided to contact us for a free inspection. Following that call, we have sent Mr.  Petru Rotaru who did a thorough inspection on the inside of the basement and outside of the house and asked the clients all the right questions and came up with the best solution to solve their problems.

The Water was coming from under the slab and despite having a French drain installed, the specialist recommended an internal footing drain, the WaterGuard, which never clogs and is offered with a lifetime warranty.

As for The existing sump pump, and since it wasn’t working properly, it was replaced by the TripleSafe Sump pump which is our most reliable sump pump system that has a powerful, cast-iron Zoeller® ⅓ horsepower sump pump set at the lowest level.

We were very happy to be able to offer these homeowners the best solution to ensure their peace of mind where they did not face anymore leaking problems in their basement again.

Basement Waterproofing in Gatineau, QC

Mr. Sabev and his wife bought their dream house years ago in Gatineau, without realizing that it would become a nightmare during spring times, when the water starts to infiltrate inside their basement between the slab and the foundation cement walls and ruins all the furniture in this area, in addition to having a very low temperature in this area that would spread around the house.

After many failed attempts to fix the problem that has cost our clients huge amounts of wasted money, mr. Sabev found our company on the internet and saw that we have had lots of successful jobs in their area.

They contacted us for a free inspection of their basement.

Our company sent Jorge Zatarian to do a full inspection on the inside and outside of their hous. Jorge recommended them to install the Waterguard system which is an internal drainage system that is designed not to clog, a SuperSump sump pump, as well as our SaniDry which is the best dehumidifier available on the market. Jorge also recommended installing an IceGuard unit, to prevent the discharge line from freezing during cold winter periods, and fiinishing the basement with the EverLast wall restoration system whih has made the basement more beautiful, dry and impressive.

This family is now very happy because they will no longer have to worry about any humidity or infiltration problems in their basement anymore, and will neither have to pay money on fixing the place nor changing their damaged furniture .Furthermore Basement Systems Quebec is very proud to have solved not only this family's problems but also problems of many other families in the same area in Gatineau.

A customer from Gatineau Quebec suffering from a problem of a wet crawl space!

Mrs. Monique B. from Gatineau called us to tell us about her problems related to mold and moisture in her crawl space. Although she did not know much about Crawl spaces, Mrs. Monique went to Systèmes Sous-sol Québec’s website to learn more about the solutions available to her.

Following her call, we sent her the specialist Jorge Zatarain to inspect the crawl space. Monique B.'s crawl space had traces of moisture which had affected the joists, not to mention the presence of mold and water infiltration.

Our technicians led by foreman Eugene Alexeenco then proceeded to install a CleanSpace membrane, a SmartSump pump system and two SmartJack support pillars. They also applied Mold-X Neutralizer to areas affected by mold.

Mrs. Monique B. is now reassured that the humidity caused issues in her crawl space are a thing of the past!
