Mr. Chan had lived in his house in Verdun for several years. He had problems with humidity and water infiltration in his crawl space. A damp smell was present in the crawl space, but also on the main floor. His sump pump did not always work and has caused water damage in the past. He wanted to solve his problem in order to have peace of mind and find the comfort of his home. So he chose Systèmes Sous-sol Québec for a permanent solution to his problems.

 

The solution for our client was to first replace their pump with our SuperSump sump pump system. It features a powerful ⅓ HP Zoeller cast-iron sump pump capable of pumping 8,300 liters of water out of your basement per hour. Then, our experts laid a drainage membrane on the earthen floor of the crawl space. This membrane allows surface water to flow into the SuperSump and thus be forced out. They then installed our CleanSpace coating on top of the membrane. This helps lock in moisture from the soil, thus isolating the house from the earth. It also gives a clear and clean appearance to the crawl space. Finally, in order to filter the air and remove any moisture, our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed and connected to the SuperSump.

Mur arrière (42 pieds) : o Creuser une tranchée de 3.5 - 4 pieds de largeur. o Remplacer la semelle. o Nettoyer la fondation par brossage manuel et appliquer un polyuréthane aquaréactif dans les fissures pour imperméabiliser. o Brosser manuellement la fondation pour enlever le béton friable. o Faire un brûlage au propane. o Resurfacer les murs de fondation souterraine en fixant une latte métallique vrillée ancrée au mur de fondation. La latte doit avoir subit un traitement anti-oxydant. o Revêtir la latte de 2 couches de béton à prise rapide. o Appliquer du ciment plastique sur le joint délimitant la semelle du mur vertical de fondation. o Remblayer le terrain.
