In this picture you can see the big difference between an encapsulated and an uninsulated crawl space.

The insulation helped solve many issues the client had, and had improved the home comfort, healthfulness, energy efficiency and value of the house by insulating the upper floors from the cold, making the Crawl Space clean and letting her use the crawlspace as an additional storage room.

Job Stories From Montreal, QC
Encapsulating a damp crawlspace in Montreal, QC

When a homeowner in Montreal reached out concerned about the humidity in their crawl space, we at Systèmes Sous-Sol Québec were ready to help. They noticed musty odors and suspected the damp environment might affect their home’s overall health. Understanding the urgency, our Appointment Center team promptly scheduled a home inspection to identify the core issues. Our Specialist Dania inspected their home, confirming their suspicion—a humid crawlspace that could lead to mold, rot, and diminished air quality through the rest of their house. Our recommended solution: the installation of our CleanSpace liner and the SaniDry Sedona system. These products work together to not only seal off the crawl space from earth moisture but also to dehumidify and filter the air, ensuring no musty odors or humidity could put their home at risk again. The installation process was smooth. Our foreman and team of installers got to work sealing the crawl space with the CleanSpace liner, known for its durability and moisture-blocking capabilities. Following this, the SaniDry Sedona, a high-performance dehumidifier and air filtration system, was installed to keep the space dry and healthy. they also installed our SmartSump sump pump system which is specially made for crawlspaces. The compact design of the Sedona allowed for minimal intrusion while maximizing airflow and efficiency. After the job was completed, the difference was immediately noticeable. No more musty odors, and the homeowner was impressed by the transformation of the crawl space—now a dry, clean, and odor-free area. They were particularly pleased with how our team handled the procedure, from the informative assessment to the tidy and considerate execution of the installation, always keeping the homeowner's convenience and home's condition in mind. At Systèmes Sous-Sol Québec, we’re proud to have provided a durable.

Basement Waterproofing in Montreal, QC

When a homeowner in Montreal reached out to us with concerns about humidity and water infiltration in their basement, it was clear they were in need of a reliable solution—and fast. After initiating contact with our appointment center team, they were quickly scheduled for an in-home inspection to get to the bottom of their issue. Our System Design Specialist Fanny thoroughly inspected their basement. Findings were discussed, and a tailor-made solution proposed. Our identified problems required a combination of our top-rated products: WaterGuard for efficient basement drainage, SuperSump to properly eject water out and away from the home, and CleanSpace to both seal and protect the basement walls from moisture and mold. A plan was laid out, and the homeowner was eager to get started. Our experienced foreman Beelal and skilled installers arrived at the home ready to tackle the problem. With precision and care, they installed the WaterGuard at the basement's perimeter, which acts as an interior drainage channel. Next, the SuperSump Pump System was integrated to ensure any entering water was quickly pumped outside, away from the foundation. Lastly, the CleanSpace liner was placed along the walls, acting as a barrier against moisture and a transformer of the space into a clean, dry area. The job ended with the homeowner marveling at their newly waterproofed basement. The humming of the sump pump and the pristine condition of their basement walls stood as testament to the quality of work our team had accomplished. We left with one more happy homeowner, proud to have given another Montreal basement the care and protection it deserves. No more humidity and water infiltration worries, just the peace of mind knowing they're protected for the long haul.

Stabilizing a Sagging Floor in Montreal, QC

Krystle, the owner of a house in Montreal, was facing issues due to complications with her floor. There were several areas incarnating floor slops. In addition, there some gaps between the floor and some of the interior wall. After filling out the form on our website, our specialist Cesar visited Krystle for a free inspection. In addition to the bouncy floor, some doors and windows were stuck, making them difficult to open or close.

Cesar explained that these signs indicated weakening floor joists at the lower level of the house. He thus requested the inspection of the crawlspace. Cesar immediately felt the excess moisture inside the crawlspace: Because crawlspaces are often not encapsulated, excess moisture becomes a problem. The wood begins to rot and become more and more weak. Consequently, the main beams and floor joists become unable to support the weight of the house, leading to sagging floor.

Cesar suggested taking action as soon as possible, before further structural disasters arise.

After receiving approval from our client, the team of expert workers, led by Fiston, installed the SmartJack system to stabilize the floor joists in the crawlspace. In this case, it involved six galvanized steel columns with a 16'' horizontal beam. What sets our SmartJack system apart is that the columns are adjustable depending on the size of each crawlspace. Additionally, galvanized steel is corrosion-resistant, thus ensuring the durability of the system. On the other hand, the installation of the columns and the horizontal beam is quick, with minimal disruption to the household.

Following our repair work, we were able to create a solid and durable support for the house's foundation through the SmartJack system. Floor sagging is eliminated, providing our client with peace of mind.

Crawl Space Encapsulation in Montreal

Mr. Robert reached out to our team seeking assistance with persistent moisture issues plaguing his crawl space. We promptly scheduled a complimentary inspection to thoroughly assess the situation. During our on-site evaluation, it became evident that the most effective remedy would involve the encapsulation of his crawl space using our state-of-the-art CleanSpace vapor barrier.

The first step in our process involved the removal of accumulated debris within the crawl space, ensuring a clean and optimal environment for the upcoming encapsulation. Following this initial cleanup, our dedicated team installed a specialized draining mat to enhance moisture management and drainage capabilities.

The key element of our solution was the implementation of the CleanSpace vapor barrier, a cutting-edge technology designed to create a robust barrier against moisture infiltration. This impermeable layer acts as a shield, safeguarding the crawlspace from external elements and preventing moisture-related issues from resurfacing.

To further strengthen the moisture control measures, our experts installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier into the system. This high-performance appliance ensures that the crawlspace maintains optimal humidity levels, mitigating the risk of mold growth and fostering a healthier environment. Additionally, a SmartDrain drain system was carefully installed to preemptively address any potential flooding concerns, providing an added layer of protection and peace of mind for Mr. Robert.

In essence, our comprehensive approach not only tackled the immediate moisture problems but also laid the foundation for long-term moisture management, creating a crawlspace that is resilient, dry, and conducive to a healthy living environment for Mr. Robert.

A wet basement that needed our intervention in Montreal, Qc

Ms. Corrado called Systèmes Sous-sols Québec because she had several problems with her basement. She mainly had a lot of water leaking into her basement, in addition to having cracks in her foundation wall.

In order to solve these problems, our team installed a WaterGuard interior drain system all along the foundation wall. Then, to evacuate the water outside the house, we installed a SuperSump sump pump system and an UltraSump backup pump system. Exhaust ducts are vulnerable to freezing in the winter because they are placed outside the house. So in order not to cause flooding, our team installed an IceGuard system to act as a second flow path that is invulnerable to freezing.

Water infiltartion in a crawl space in Montreal

This basement was having with water intrusion, as is the case with most basements. The owner called us to find out what we could do to fix the situation. Our waterproofing system is installed under the concrete, above the footing. In this way, it captures all the water that rises from the ground before it reaches the surface and directs it to the sump pump that we install in the lowest place. We also installed a vapor barrier membrane on the walls to prevent moisture from escaping into the house.

Our client Mr. Tomaszewski contacted us because he wanted to waterproof his basement. The problem was that every time it rained, the water entered his basement through the cracks between the concrete slab and the walls. Our team installed a WaterGuard interior drain system in a trench they dug along the foundation. Next, we encapsulated the walls with a drainage membrane and a CleanSpace membrane to prevent humidity from spreading through the house. We also installed SilverGlo panels on the walls to properly thermally insulate the basement. Finally, we installed a SuperSump sump pump that can pump over 8000 liters of water an hour even without its battery backup pump.

Water infiltration problems and basement wall cracks in Montreal, Qc

Maisan’s basement in Montreal was really big and she wanted to benefit from it to stoare all her supplies like food and some accessories, but water and humidty in the place was stoping her.

So she decided one day to start searching for ways to fix this issue and this is when she found our company, contacted us and asked for our free inspection

After the inspection, we suggested her that she needed to waterproof the entire area, and it will save her money, time and headache.

Furthermore our specialist recommended the installation of the’ WaterGuard’ our inner French drain system; a powerful SuperSump pump and seal the wall cracks with our FlexiSpan product.

These methods include polyurethane injection, which seals the cracks inside-out, and FlexiSpan, which seals the crack as a secondary line of defense and provides a hidden drain channel should any leakage reoccur.

The installation went great, and our client is super happy with the results done and started using this area to keep her belongings.

Crack on the walls and unstable foundation in Montreal, Qc

Mr. Boerr's building sank into the ground. There were several exterior and interior signs of subsidence that were apparent including cracks on the corners of the doors and windows and also cracks in the stairs. He contacted Systèmes Sous-sol Qc for a free inspection and to find out the repair costs.

To repair a foundation collapse, the building must be staked. Our team installed our push piers system under the footing to stabilize it and prevent any future subsidence. Those piers reach a solid rock base to hold the foundation in place and provide the peace of mind to our client.

Foundation probmes in a house in Montreal, Qc

Our client had a foundation problem. It had cracks for several years and despite several interior renovations new ones appear. These cracks have caused several water infiltrations in the house and a high level of humidity was starting to set in. The floor had to be supported because the support columns in the crawl space were sagging. This lack of support was the source of the cracks.

In order to find a definitive solution. Our client did some research on the Internet, found the solutions of Systèmes Sous-sol Québec and decided to call on us. After making an appointment, our specialist came to his home and offered a definitive solution to the foundation problems.

In order to solve the problem definitively, we installed 12 Smartjacks to support the floor of the house. The SmartJack system is a patented Systèmes Sous-sol Québec support beam that is made of galvanized steel. It effectively lifts and supports the support beams of homes that have a crawl space.

Thanks to these solutions, our client benefits from a house with a restored floor.

Water accumulation and humidity in a basement in Montreal, Qc

Our client Jeremie had a problem with his sump pump since it was not covered and did not have a backup system and the uncovered sump pump gave off moisture with bad smells too. He also wanted to protect the objects stored in his basement from water damages and needed to modernize his water drainage system with a more suitable solution that protects it from water infiltration.

To do this, he contacted Système Sous-sol Québec and a customer service representative scheduled an appointment for an inspection. Once our specialist was on site, a free written assessment was given to the client.

To fix the client's problem, our specialist proposed the installation of a WaterGuard interior French drain system that is not affected by the accumulation of debris and does not clog with soil.

To evacuate the accumulated water, a TripleSafe pump system is installed. It has three pumps. A main one with a lot of power, and a secondary one that takes over if the water level rises above a certain threshold. This system is also equipped with a backup pump powered by a battery. It operates during power outages. This way the basement remains dry even during power cuts.

Finally, BrightWall is installed on the concrete walls to give the walls a finished look. It is waterproof and mildew resistant.

Thanks to this solution, our client now benefits from a basement protected against water infiltration.

Moisture and mold in a crawl space in Montreal, Qc

Our client had a humidity problem in his crawl space. Heavy condensation was beginning to form and was beginning to damage the foundation of his house.

If the humidity in the crawl space is not well treated, it will help the appearance of mold that will feed on the wood. Many homes have seen their floor joists changed while a simple crawl space insulation would have protected the foundation.

In order to avoid this scenario, this home owner searched over the internet and found Basement System solutions.

After a brief discussion with our customer service representative, an appointment was set up with a specialist who took the time to clearly identify the problem and provide a good solution to this problem.

Given the problems of our client, it was important to insulate the earth because it is the number 1 cause of humidity in crawl spaces.

To do this we have installed a Drainage Matting which allows the excess humidity to be drained towards a system of sump pumps to extract it. On top we laid a CleanSpace membrane to hermetically cover the earth. This way, no more water vapor will escape into the crawl space.

Our specialist also suggested changing the sump pump with a more efficient system. With a SuperSump system, our client benefits from a pump that is covered and does not release moisture into her crawl space.

Thanks to these solutions, our client benefits from a crawl space protected against moisture and mold.

Wet crawl space and moisture in Montreal, Qc

Mr. Tella had humidity problems in his home. A lot of humidity came from the crawl space where the floor is not well protected. A rate of 70% humidity was detected during the free inspection by our specialist.

To solve the problem, our team encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier. It is installed on the earthen floor of the crawl space and sealed to the wall. The moisture coming from the earthen floor will then be blocked. The crawl space will therefore be drier and the rest of the house too.

Water infiltration issues in a basement in Montreal, Qc

Mr. Rudas had problems with water infiltration and humidity in his basement. Water seeped through the joint between the concrete slab and the foundation walls. He contacted our company for a free inspection of his basement in order to find a permanent solution for this issue.

The solution was to waterproof the basement by installing our WaterGuard interior French drain all along the foundation walls. We also installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier on the foundation walls to block moisture and then install our SuperSump sump pump system. The WaterGuard is connected to our sump pump system so that the water will be expelled outside the house.

Humidity in a crawl space that was affecting the foundation in Montreal, Qc

Mrs. Laflamme had humidity problems in her crawl space. During her free inspection with our specialist, a humidity level of more than 64% was detected. Most of the humidity comes from the earthen floor and the foundation walls if they were not insulated. The wooden support beams were rotting and the rim joists were sagging.

To improve the comfort of her home and solve the problem, our experts encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace drainage membrane and vapor barrier to block moisture from the earth floor. To reinforce the end joists, our experts installed our galvanized steel SmartJack pillars. Ms. Laflamme can now have the peace of mind.

Crawl Space encapsulation in Montreal, Qc

Ms. Wilberg had a crawl space with water seeping in and this has created humidity in the crawl space, and also in the house. Moisture also comes from the earthen soil which is not insulated.

So she did business with Systèmes Sous-sol Québec because we always offer the best solutions on the market.

We installed a drainage membrane and a CleanSpace vapor barrier. The drainage membrane creates a drainage space below the Cleanspace to direct surface water to the customer's sump pump system. CleanSpace is a 20mm thick coating that acts as a vapor barrier. It insulates the floor of the house by blocking out moisture.

With this solution, Mrs. Wilberg will have a much less humid house and a dry crawl space.

Cracked house foundation in Montreal, Qc

Ms. Léger's house is cracked in several places. Inside, cracks in the corners of the door frames as well as cracks in the foundation in the basement are apparent. On the outside, there is a long, 1 '' wide horizontal crack on the brick wall and a nearly 2 '' wide vertical crack on the corner of a foundation wall.

The cause of these problems is the sagging foundation of the house. When the foundation sags, cracks on the foundation and walls are created, it can also have a detachment of part of the foundation from the rest of the house. Her floor on the main floor was no longer level due to the sag.

Ms. Léger contacted Systèmes Sous-sol Québec for a permanent and above all reliable solution.

The solution for our client was the installation of PushPiers hydraulic pillars under the footing of the house. They can straighten the house slightly, and the weight of the house is supported solidly. Then, some cracks in the foundation were sealed using our FlexiSpan solution. It is a high viscosity polyurethane polymer. The sealant penetrates deeply into the crack to form a flexible and durable seal. CarbonArmor strips were laid on the corner of an exterior foundation wall to reinforce it as it began to pull away from the house. Finally, in order to straighten the main floor and support it, our SmartJack beams were laid.

With these solutions, Mrs. Léger will have no more to fear as the foundation of her house is supported solidly and the cracks are sealed.

Water infiltration problems in a basement in Montreal, Qc

Ms. Lauzon had a problem with water infiltration in a room in her basement. Wall efflorescence means that there is water and moisture seeping into the walls and this causes a white powdery substance (mineral salts) to appear on the concrete walls. .

The solution

Install a sump pump system as well as a WaterGuard interior drain. First, a hole was dug to install our SuperSump sump pump system. It features a powerful ⅓ HP Zoeller cast iron sump pump capable of pumping 8,300 gallons of water per hour out of your basement to a height of 8 feet. Then a trench is dug all along the foundation walls to reach the foundation footing and the WaterGuard is laid in it. It collects water from the walls and the floor.

With this solution, Ms. Lauzon now has a permanently dry basement.

Cracks in block walls in Montreal, Qc

Mr. Ephraim has lived in his house for 10 years. It had been almost 4 years since he had cracks fixed in the foundation of his house, but the situation never improved but on the contrary, the cracks widened and other cracks appeared. A long crack in the staircase leading from the bottom of the house to the top was visible on one of the brick walls on the outside and on the brick walls on the inside.

The problem was that the foundation of his house was slowly sagging over time.

Mr. Ephraim wants to find the peace of mind and avoid any future problems, so he contacted Systèmes Sous-sol Québec to solidify the foundation walls of his house.

To solve our client's problem, our experts laid PushPiers under the foundation footing of the house. These pillars reach deep into solid rocky soil to support the weight of the house. This will permanently solidify the foundation of the house. A possible straightening of the foundation can be carried out.

With this solution, Mr. Ephraim can regain the peace of mind as the foundation of his house is stabilized once and for all.

An unstable foundation in Montreal, Qc

The problem: The customer had just bought a brand new duplex in Montreal and there was a ceiling sag in the basement of about an inch and a half. After doing some research on the web, the client came across our website and decided to fill out our form to make an appointment to receive his free estimate.

The Solution: Following an inspection by our systems design specialist John, he concluded that the best solution would be to install a support pillar called SmartJack. This pillar will stabilize the ceiling to keep it in place so that it does not sag anymore. At start we start by digging a hole 2 feet by 2 feet.. Then we fill it with crushed stone in order to fill the hole.. Then we add the concrete and the Smartjack.

In short, the customer will no longer have to worry about the sagging of his floor which  will now be stabilized, thanks to our SmartJack.

Water and humidity in a crawl space in Montreal, Qc

Mr. Haddad has lived in his house for several years. Lately he noticed a high humidity in his house and it made the room environment uncomfortable. He contacted Systèmes Sous-sol Québec to resolve the problem and make his home comfortable.

The source of the problem is the crawl space which was not isolated. There was a lot of humidity there and it came from the ground and from outside.

So the best solution was to insulate Mr. Haddad's crawl space well. For this, our experts insulated the walls with our SilverGlo panels. 2 '' thick insulation with radiant barrier to isolate the cold and reflect heat inside the crawl space. And then they covered the floor with our CleanSpace coating. With a thickness of 20mm, the coating is specially designed for crawl spaces. Robust, composed of polyethylene and antimicrobial, it insulates the floor of the house and blocks humidity.

By having the walls and the floor well insulated, Mr. Haddad will no longer have a problem with humidity in his house. He now has a clean and above all dry crawl space!

Push Piers in Montreal, Qc

The problem: This client from Montreal had a house with one corner of its foundation sagging. We saw him quickly and easily during the free estimate we did at his home. On the corner in question there was a staircase-type crack at the top of the wall, on the same wall there was another large exposed crack in the bricks and also next to one of the windows there was also a crack that clearly demonstrated that there was a sinking of the foundation in the ground.

As a solution, we excavated down to the footing of the foundation to insert four push piers to support the foundation in place. In some cases, it depends on several factors, it is possible to straighten the foundation back to its original state, but as mentioning each project is different then, you have to assess the risks, because these piles are very strong and the pressure that they can exercise is very great. That is why if it is possible, without aggravating or damaging the structure we can straighten the foundation, but their primary purpose is to maintain the current position so that it does not worsen further. Also, for this project, we installed Carbon armor, as there was a section of the foundation that arched outward. So this strip made of carbon fiber and reinforced with polymer will help to slow down the camber of the foundation.

From now on, this client in Montreal will be able to have peace of mind, because his foundation is very well stabilized thanks to the hydraulic piles installed and he will no longer need to worry about the level of sagging of his foundation.

Water problems in a crawl space in Montreal, Qc

Ms. Renaud has lived in her house for about 10 years and would like to use her crawl space as storage space. However, its crawl space is made of earth and the stone walls are not insulated. Which makes it a damp and cold place and not ideal for storage. She decided to contact Systèmes Sous-sol Québec to obtain a quick solution that will meet her needs.

Our solution for our client was to remove the debris, install a drainage mat on the earth floor to direct surface water to the sump pump in place and then lay our CleanSpace liner over the drainage mat.

The CleanSpace helps block the evaporation of water in the ground to reduce the humidity level in the crawl space. It is sturdy and gives a clean and clear appearance to the crawl space.

With this solution, Mrs. Renaud will finally be able to use this space to store her belongings.

Stabilizing a foundation in Montreal , QC

Mr. Diaz has lived in his house for over 10 years. Over time, he noticed that the foundation of his house was quietly sagging. He knows that if he does nothing, his foundation will continue to sag. So he wants to have it fixed before the problem gets worse. He decided to contact Système Sous-sol Québec to obtain a permanent solution.

The problem was that the ground where its foundation is located was weak and therefore was not stable. This caused movement of the wooden beams which support the weight of the house causing overload of weight and slits in the beams in several places. Because of this, the foundation was quietly sagging.

The solution for our client was to install SmartJack supports to support the joist reinforcement device in place. About ten brackets were installed in order to support the weight evenly and straighten the floor to the floor above in its initial position.

With this solution, Mr. Diaz will have nothing more to fear for his foundation.

Wet Basement in Montreal, Qc

Mrs. Riga who lives in Montreal had a small basement under her house. This basement was not properly ventilated and allowed all of the moisture in. Furthemore the place was always damp and she was not able to use it for any storage purpose.

After seeing our work on the internet, our specialist went to check up her place and suggested the installation of 2 products: ThermalDry and Foamax.

Our ThermalDry basement floor tiles are engineered for basement environments. Unlike ceramic basement floor tiles, ThermalDry basement flooring will never crack or shatter.

As for the Foamax, it is an advanced polyisocyanurate foam insulation panel designed with a white foil finish on the front and a foil vapor barrier on the back. The white finished face brightens the basement and the vapor barrier helps control basement humidity.

After the installation, the basement looked so clean and bright and Andy was able to benefit from it.

A very humid basement in Montreal, Qc

The hydrostatic pressure exerted on the walls of this basement in Montreal pushed the water inward through the pores of the concrete and the wall-base joints.

If this is happening in your home, the flooding of your basement may proceed at a snail’s pace. But it will proceed, and the longer the soil stays saturated around your home the worse your basement flooding problem will become.

When ours client faced those issues in their house in Montreal, they knew that they needed to consult specialists to solve those problems for good!

After their call, we went to examine their place, and suggested the installation of our waterproofing products and finishing it as well with our finishing products from the EverLast panels, the Floor Matting Thermal Dry and finally installed our Cleanspace membrane.

This place will never get moldy again thanks to our EverLast panels that comes with a 50 Year warranty.

As for our ThermalDry basement floor tiles, they are engineered for basement environments. Unlike ceramic basement floor tiles, ThermalDry basement flooring will never crack or shatter.

This basement in Montreal is now completely waterproofed and looks so great and neat thanks to our products.

Basement Water Infiltration in Montreal East, QC

While constructors take steps to waterproof basements during construction, over time a house can settle, creating cracks in the basement walls.

When the soil outside becomes saturated, water can seep through these cracks.

As the water from the walls evaporates, the air in the basement becomes more humid.

A high-quality dehumidifier will help remove excess basement humidity, but the best long-term solution is to waterproof the walls.

Since one of our client’s basements in Montreal East had major water infiltration by the foundation, he contacted us asking about one of our free inspections and a quote.

We sent one of our specialists who recommended the installation of an interior drain system on the foundation footing as well as a vapor barrier membrane and a SuperSump sump pump system.

The SuperSump is a sump pump liner installed in the ground and connected to the inner drain to evacuate water that is trying to seep into the basement through the foot of the foundation.

Now that we have completely waterproofed this place, it’s always dry and in great condition!

Wet Basement in Outremont, Qc

When Mr. George contacted us, he did not know much about basement waterproofing, and he was having many problems in his place in Outremont City from infiltration of ground water, moisture and bad ventilation.

At first he was very worried whether we will need to do a total renovation for the place, and this might cost him lots of money and time. But our team reassured him that our products do not need all of this hustle and can be installed within few days only, with the least cost.

We sent our expert Peter to check his basement for free, and he showed him about our plan, and informed him more about the products.

Mr. George agreed on all of the executions and prices and we started our work.

Since its easier to waterproof from the inside to the outside, we installed our interior drain’ The WaterGuard’ to capture the water from the walls , and from the most common point of entry.

The WaterGuard was linked to our Supersump pump system that has a sturdy liner to accept water directly from the ground, as well as a larger inlet hole to allow your perimeter drainage system to empty into it.

Our first attic insulation in Montreal was a real success!

A few years ago, we installed a complete basement waterproofing system for a client. When she learned that we also offer attic insulation service, she immediately booked an appointment for a FREE inspection. She had noticed that her attic was colder than normal but had not started procedures to solve the problem. We explained to her the importance of insulating her attic and the impact it has on the optimization of her energy consumption.

In fact, the attic should be seen both as the upper space of the house, but also as an outdoor space because it is a ventilated place. That's why your attic can be too hot in summer and too cold in winter. This can greatly affect the comfort of your home.

Believing in our patented and effective solutions, Mrs. Warren trusted us for a second time and we installed the best Attic Systems Insulation products. So, as recommended by our specialist Andrew, our foremen Petru and Cedrick removed all the old insulation, insulated the chimney's outline with a metal flashing and fire caulk seal, sealed the gaps and holes to stop air from leaking, then isolated the entire attic space with our TruSoft cellulose insulation.

The attic is now isolated so as to conserve energy efficiently. We are happy to finally be able to offer this service after several months of training and work. Insulate your attic today!

Furthermore, he directly contacted our company and asked for an inspection of his basement.

Following his call, our company sent Alexis David and recommended to install a WaterGuard drainage system, which is an interior system that doesn’t clog since it’s built in 3/8 -inch gap between the floor and the wall to drain water leaks, and has a big drain outlet to the sump, preventing any structural damage to the foundation.

Mr.Marc was very happy since his problem was fixed permanently, and was able to benefit properly from his basement’s area.

Mrs. R, a Montreal resident, was having water infiltration problems in her basement, even though she had already a sump pump installed in her basement.

Furthermore, her old sump pump wasn’t working properly since it was a sub-Par plastic pump that did not have an alarm system. This meant she only knew that she had a problem when it was too late, and the water had already infiltrated her basement.

We recommended installing the best sump system in Quebec, the SuperSump pump, which is not only hermetically sealed to prevent humidity from going out but also has an alarm system that sounds if the pump stops working and the water level reaches the top.

Mrs. Rita is now very happy because she will no longer have to worry about any humidity or infiltration problems in her basement anymore. Furthermore, Basement Systems Quebec is very proud to have solved not only our client’s problems but also problems of many other homeowners in the same area.

Our client was very happy with her house until her basement had problems of water infiltration and constant humidity.

As she wanted to repair her basement permanently and no longer feel the stress she feels every spring and autumn, she called our company and met with Andrew Stewart who conducted a full inspection of the interior and exterior of her basement and determined that the best solution was to install an interior drainage system with a sump pump throughout of the perimeter of the house.

Inspection ports have been added to the WaterGuard on each side of the basement so that the client can inspect the drain if needed. A SuperSump sump pump system has also been installed to drain water from the drain as well as water under the concrete slab to minimize the water evaporation through the slab. In addition, an Iceguard anti freezing system has been added to the discharche line to prevent any backups in the sump pump caused by frozen lines.

The customer was extremely satisfied and left us an excellent evaluation.

This Montreal homeowner called us to tell us about her problems with mold and moisture in her basement. Although the lady did not have much knowledge about basement waterproofing, she went to the Basement Systems Quebec website to learn more about the solutions available to her.

Following her call, we sent her the specialist Michel Leclerc to inspect the area.

Our technicians led by foreman Eugene Alexeenco then installed the WaterGuard, an internal drain that sits on the footing and under the slab, and prevents water from coming into the basement at any point.

In addition, our team has installed a sump pump system; the SuperSump pump to connect the inner drain in order to channel the water and that has helped to drain the water from below the floor in order to lower the level of humidity.

The homeowner is now reassured and glad that these problems will not return anymore.

Since she got her house years ago, water infiltration became a nightmare for Mrs. Emma, a home resident in Montreal.

Unfortunately, the existing pedestal pump could not solve the problem of water infiltrating through the joints between the foundation walls and the slab. And the fact that the pump went down without any notification for the owner to realize it made it even more difficult her.

Our solution included installing our internal drain system the WaterGuard, the only alternative to French drains and which is guaranteed for the life of the house. The drain was connected to our SuperSump sump pump, which pumps 2,200 gallons of water per hour at a head of 8 feet and is equipped with an alarm system so the owners know if the pump stops working.

In addition, we installed one of our vapor barrier systems, the CleanSpace, a membrane designed to create an ultra-resistant barrier against moisture and will greatly help in preventing mold growth.

This product is also guaranteed for 25 years and is made of a very strong lasting material.

Mrs. Emma could now benefit from a dry basement, all the time! Basement Systems Quebec is proud to have fixed the water infiltration problems for many home owners in Montreal, permanently!

The WaterGuard is a very efficient system and gets installed from the inside of the house, unlike the French drain that must be installed by digging around the residence. In addition, it offers our clients a lifetime guarantee and peace of mind.

Following the work in her basement, this resident of Montreal was very satisfied with the results obtained and she can now benefit from her basement area as a storage space.

Basement Waterproofing in Montreal

Our customer had a water infiltration problem in the basement since the day she got her house. Unfortunately, the existing pedestal pump could not solve the problem of water infiltrating through the joints between her wall's foundation. She has tried to solve the problems a few years ago, but the issue was never been fixed and moisture started to aggravate causing her also serious health complications.

For those several reasons, our client contacted us so that we could send her a specialist for a free on-site inspection.

Our solution included our WaterGuard indoor drain system, the only alternative to the French drain which is guaranteed for the life of the house. The drain has been linked to our SuperSump sump pump, which pumps 2,200 gallons of water per hour to an 8-foot level and is equipped with an alarm system so the owner knows when the pump stops function.

Since the installation, Mrs. Kathelenn no longer had a single drop of water on the floor of her basement and was able to benefit from a dry basement, all the time. In addition, her health got better again. Furthermore, Basement Systems Quebec is proud to have solved the problems of water infiltration for several owners in Montreal, permanently!

Crawlspace encapsulation in Westmount, Quebec

The owners of this beautiful house in Westmount faced several problems at their home. Having a crawl space under the house, the family always felt a damp smell in the house. Floors, very cold in the winter, continually creaked when walked over, and it got worse from year to year. The house needed to be heated continuously, especially in the presence of an earth crawl space.

The owner then sought a specialist in crawl spaces and found our company on the internet. Peter Romaniuk, our specialist, conducted a comprehensive inspection of the crawlspace. The inspection was difficult because the space is very tight, but Peter was able to take pictures and recommend a system that completely matched customer expectations.

Peter recommended the CleanSpace, our patented membrane that is guaranteed for 25 years, to completely seal the crawl space of the earth below and protect the home. Moreover, as the crawlspace walls were very cold and shrugged their heating bills, Peter decided to cover the walls with a thermal insulating membrane, the SilverGlo. This membrane also reflects the rays of heat originating from the heating of the house, inwardly. Finally our team also installed a special SmartDrain to drain the water from plumbing leaks, and which also has an alarm that sounds at the touch of water.

This family was extremely happy to protect their home and health by installing a complete crawlspace encapsulation system.

Fixing basement water infiltration problems in Montreal, Quebec

This family had a basement water infiltration problem since they bought their house in 2000. Unfortunately, the existing pedestal pump could not solve the problem of water seeping through the joints between foundation walls and footing.

The fact that the pump broke down without a way for owners to know it, made this situation even more difficult. Water dripped regularly on the floor and it was impossible to keep the basement dry and to use it as storage space. The humidity level was also very high which damaged the wood and hardware.

In addition, we installed one of our vapor barrier systems, the CleanSpace, on the basement walls, a membrane which helps lower the moisture level and directs water wicking through the basement walls down to the WaterGuard.

This family could now benefit from a dry basement, all the time! Basement Systems Quebec is proud to have fixed the water infiltration problems for many home owners in Montreal, permanently!

We have a finished basement that has a musty odor from May to October. The window has to be open all the time to remove the odor. There is no odor from Nov-April. I don't think a vapor barrier was ever installed when they did the basement. We would like to know what can be done to eliminate the odor. Thank you
