The “Société d'habitation du Québec (SHQ)” has relaunched its program under the name "Rénovation Québec: Maisons lézardées."
This program offers subsidies to Laval owners of residential buildings with sagging foundations. The amount of each grant awarded will reach a maximum of $35,000 per residence.
According to the statement, to be eligible to apply for the program, the causes of foundation failure must be related to soil conditions and not to construction defects. In addition, homeowners must submit an application for financial aid, along with the required documents, before March 22, 2024.
