Photo Album: Full system against water infiltration in Saint-Rosaire, QC
This project in Saint-Rosaire addresses a very common problem: water infiltration in basements, particularly during snowmelt and thaw periods. The owner noticed water on the floor, high humidity, a persistent odor, and signs that the existing drainage system was no longer effective. The accumulation of water around the foundation increased hydrostatic pressure, promoting infiltration through the walls and slab.
To ensure complete basement waterproofing, we installed an integrated system comprising the WaterGuard interior drain, the TripleSafe sump pump, the IceGuard freeze protection system, and the LawnScape gutter extension. This combination provides effective management of groundwater and meltwater, protects against backups, and ensures a dry, healthy, and protected basement all year round.
Installation of the WaterGuard system
The WaterGuard system acts like an interior French drain installed at the foot of foundation walls. It captures infiltrated water and redirects it to the sump before it reaches the floor surface, providing continuous protection against water infiltration.
TripleSafe sump pump
TripleSafe offers three levels of protection, including a primary pump, a secondary pump, and a backup battery. It ensures constant water removal and protects basements from flooding.
IceGuard System and LawnScape Extension
This outdoor installation combines IceGuard, which protects the discharge line from winter freezing and backups, with the LawnScape gutter extension, which directs water away from the foundation. Together, these solutions reduce hydrostatic pressure and complement the overall waterproofing system for a dry, protected basement in the long term.
