The problem

Water infiltration in the basement that is frequent. The water comes from the cracks that are on the foundation walls and the joint between the foundation footing and the wall that became frequent with every rain. Mr. Bordeleau already had up to 4 inches of water in his basement and he had to pull everything out in order to redo his basement.

 He contacted Systèmes Sous-sol Québec in order to have a permanent and reliable basement waterproofing solution.

The solution

 To resolve our customer's issue, we first removed the customer's old sump pump that was no longer working to install our SuperSump sump pump system. It includes a Zoeller pump and a battery pump that will trigger in the event of a power failure. Next, we installed a WaterGuard interior foundation drain system. It is placed on the foundation footing and its purpose is to collect water from the walls and soil for delivery to the SuperSump sump pump system. We installed our CleanSpace coating on the foundation wall to prevent moisture from the walls from spreading into the basement.

With this solution, Mr. Bordeleau now has a dry basement.

Problem

Mr. Ste-Marie has several problems related to his crawl space:

• Humidity and musty smell in the house

• Sensation of a softer floor in certain places

• Water infiltration

Solution

To address moisture issues, water infiltration and softer flooring, our team encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace drainage membrane and our vapor barrier installing them on the dirt floor and on 4 feets to cover the foundation walls. Next, we installed a SmartSump sump pump system designed to address water seepage in the crawl space.

Mr. Cyr contacted us because the floor of his house was sagging and needed support. So we went to him for a free estimate. On the day of the installation, our workers dug holes where the beams had to be installed. Next, they installed 5 galvanized steel SmartJack beams that support the ceiling of the crawl space.

Problem:

Mr. Eugène reached out because the pump in his basement stopped working after a heavy rainstorm. Our specialist, Houssem, visited Ste-Marguerite-Du-Lac-Masson for a free inspection. After detailed examination of the basement, Houssem explained that the current pump had worn out due to being used excessively. Essentially, it couldn't handle the amount of water that seeped in. The solution lays in installing our TripleSafe sump pump, connected to our interior drainage system, WaterGuard.

Solution:

Upon Mr. Eugène's approval, our team of workers led by Felix installed 60 feet of WaterGuard pipes within the basement. In addition, we set up our TripleSafe sump pump, which includes three pumps: the primary one with a 1/3HP cast-iron alternating current, a secondary 1/2HP cast-iron alternating current pump for backup, and a third pump UltraSump positioned, designed to keep working even during power outages.

Problem

Mr. Vincent contacted us after noticing irritating odors in his house. Our specialist, Dan noticed excessive humidity, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere in the adjacent rooms. Dan then directly examined the crawlspace of this house, which was the source of all these complications. Dan explained that a bad and moldy crawlspace could further cause structural damage to the house's foundation.

Solution

Upon receiving the authorization, our team of workers installed our CleanSpace encapsulation system throughout the crawlspace. CleanSpace includes a drainage matting and a perimeter drainage. Next, we implemented a flexible layer of thermal insulation called TerraBlock. TerraBlock is made from a ¾-inch thick foam insulation. It is resistant and durable to allow access for repairmen and homeowners inside the crawl space. Finally, we installed our SmartDrain to prevent any water infiltration in case of plumbing leaks.
