Fixing a damp and musty crawl space in Princeville, QC
Challenge
At Systèmes Sous-sol Québec, we recently faced a significant challenge in Princeville, QC, where a homeowner was dealing with a common issue in the region: a damp and musty crawl space prone to humidity. This persistent moisture not only caused discomfort but also invited mold and an earthy smell into their home, eroding the sense of security and comfort. The culprit was clear: excessive moisture seeping through the exposed earth floor, creating a frustrating and unhealthy environment.
Solution
To tackle the problem, our team quickly stepped into action. After an on-site inspection by one of our dedicated system design specialists, we proposed a powerful duo: the CleanSpace encapsulation system and the SmartDrain.
The CleanSpace system, known for its durability and moisture-blocking properties, was meticulously installed to encapsulate the crawl space, creating a tight seal that keeps out humidity. Complementing it, the SmartDrain offered a fail-safe solution for plumbing leaks, with its unique design draining water beneath the vapor barrier to prevent pooling.
Our production team transformed the crawl space into a clean, dry, and insulated area, leaving the homeowner free from the stress of humidity and mold. With a professional cleanup and our team's dedication, the Princeville residence was restored to a healthier, more comfortable home.
