Solution
After inspecting the crawl space, our specialists developed a plan of action designed to control moisture at every stage.
The first step was to install a drainage membrane, which manages moisture beneath the flooring and facilitates its removal. We then fully encapsulated the crawl space with our ® system, creating a durable barrier against water vapor rising from the ground and transforming the space into a clean, protected environment.
To prevent residual moisture from accumulating in the air, we added a SaniDry Sedona® dehumidifier. Designed specifically for below-ground spaces, this unit helps maintain a stable humidity level year-round, thereby reducing the risk of mold, odors, and condensation.
To complete the system, the walls were insulated with SilverGlo™ panels. This insulation improves the crawl space’s energy efficiency, limits heat loss, and helps maintain a more stable temperature, while reducing the risk of condensation on cold surfaces.
The crawl space in this home has now been completely transformed. Moisture is now under control, odors have been eliminated, and the space is much healthier and more energy-efficient. By combining several systems that work together, we have provided the homeowner with a sustainable solution that protects the home from the effects of moisture, while helping to preserve its structure and long-term value.
