Problem

Water infiltration through the joint between the concrete slab and the foundation walls, in addition to humidity in the basement.

Solution

Waterproofing the basement by installing our WaterGuard interior French drain all along the foundation walls. Installing our CleanSpace vapor barrier on the foundation walls to block moisture from them and then installing our SuperSump sump pump system

PROBLEM

Krystle, the owner of a house in Montreal, was facing issues due to complications with her floor. There were several areas incarnating floor slops. In addition, there some gaps between the floor and some of the interior wall. Our specialist Cesar visited Krystle for a free inspection. In addition to the bouncy floor, some doors and windows were stuck, making them difficult to open or close.

While inspecting the crawlspace, Cesar immediately felt the excess moisture. The wood began to rot and to become more and more weak. Consequently, the main beams and floor joists were unable to support the weight of the house, leading to sagging floor.

SOLUTION

Installing the SmartJack system to stabilize the floor joists in the crawlspace. In this case, it included six galvanized steel columns with a 16'' horizontal beam. What sets our SmartJack system apart is that the columns are adjustable depending on the size of each crawlspace. Additionally, galvanized steel is corrosion-resistant, thus ensuring the durability of the system. On the other hand, the installation of the columns and the horizontal beam is quick, with minimal disruption to the household.

The problem: This client from Montreal was having problems with his foundation that was sagging on a corner of his house. You could see in the picture big cracks and even stair-type cracks.

The solution: First, we excavated all the soil from the corner of the house, up to the footing. Then, we put our PushPiers, to support the foundation. Note that it is possible to straighten the foundation back to its original state, but this depends on several factors and every project is different.

Mr. Tomaszewski contacted us because his basement needed repairs. His basement was experiencing water infiltration and got very damp. Our team installed an interior drain system and a new sump pump system. Our workers also encapsulated the walls with a CleanSpace membrane, to eliminate humidity in the basement. To prevent the outside and inside air from mixing, we installed thermal insulation panels on all the walls.
