Le système de pompe de puisard SuperSump
Challenge
A homeowner in Saint-Norbert, Quebec, was experiencing persistent water infiltration in their basement, specially during periods of intense rainfall and snow melt. These recurrent episodes of leakage posed a risk to the overall integrity of their foundation and basement.
One of our certified specialists visited the property to conduct a comprehensive inspection. This included:
- Moisture on floor and wall materials incarnated by efflorescence.
- Absence of a sump pump system to perfectly channel the water far from the home's foundation.
Solution
Installation of the SuperSump Sump Pump System
Key Components of the SuperSump System:
- Zoeller 1/3 HP Cast-Iron Pump : Pumps up to 2,220 gallons per hour at a 10-foot lift, ensuring efficient water evacuation.
- SuperLiner Sump Basin: A durable, perforated polyethylene basin with a sealed lid to prevent debris, odors, and radon gas from entering the living space.
- WaterWatch Alarm System: A built-in, battery-powered alarm alerting the homeowner in the event that the water level inside the basin rises beyond the activation threshold.
Addition of the IceGuard Discharge Line Protection
In colder climates, sump pump discharge lines are susceptible to freezing and blockage, especially during late winter and early spring thaws. To counter this vulnerability, we installed the IceGuardDischarge Line System as an external fail-safe.
