Crack in the foundation allowing water in, in Frampton, QC
Challenge
In the peaceful town of Frampton, QC, a homeowner was facing a common yet stressful issue—a crack in their foundation was allowing water to seep into the basement. Over time, the problem worsened, threatening the structure of their home and disrupting their comfort. Frustrated and looking for a long-term fix, they turned to the trusted team at Systèmes Sous-sol Québec.
Solution
After a visit from our Customer Care Specialist, we sent a System Design Specialist to inspect the home. The diagnosis was clear: the basement needed a complete waterproofing system to stay dry for good. We proposed a reliable combination—our WaterGuard® interior drainage system, the SuperSump® pump to remove water quickly and efficiently, and IceGuard® to prevent the discharge line from freezing in winter. To safely channel water away from the home, we also added a LawnScape™ outlet.
Our crew installed the WaterGuard along the interior perimeter, just below the basement floor, where it now collects incoming water and directs it straight to the SuperSump. From there, the system pumps it safely out through the IceGuard and LawnScape outlet—even during heavy rain or winter freeze-ups.
Thanks to this permanent solution, the homeowner can now enjoy a dry, secure basement and peace of mind year-round.
