WaterGuard and CleanSpace System: A Complete Waterproofing Solution

Challenge

In Saint-Ephrem-de-Beauce, homeowners were facing a common problem. Their basement showed signs of constant moisture, with water seeping into the base of the walls. This damp environment was not only damaging the structure of the house, but also affecting indoor air quality.

They wanted a durable and effective solution to dry out their basement and prevent any future damage. 

Solution

To solve this problem, our team specialized in basement waterproofing installed the WaterGuard drainage system, a French drain designed to be placed above the foundation footing, away from the muddy area.

 

Here are the main steps of the intervention:

• Installation of the WaterGuard drain on a bed of drainage gravel;
• Addition of a wall flange to capture infiltrations from the walls;
• Installation of CleanSpace lining, an insulating membrane that prevents moisture from the ground from entering the house.

As a result of this work, the basement is now completely waterproof, with no leaks or moisture, and protected against mold. The humidity level has been significantly reduced, making the air healthier throughout the house. The owners can now look forward to finishing their basement with peace of mind, knowing that it will be protected for the long term.
