Solving Problems with Water Infiltration and Foundation Cracks in Vaudreuil-Dorion, QC
Challenge
In Vaudreuil-Dorion, QC, a homeowner was dealing with water seepage in the basement as well as cracks in the foundation walls. These problems can allow water to enter the home and lead to excessive moisture if an appropriate solution is not implemented. Solution
Our team installed three complementary systems to address water infiltration issues and improve foundation protection:
- WaterGuard® Interior Drain: installed to collect water that accumulates around the perimeter of the foundation and direct it to the sump pump system. This solution helps manage water infiltration and reduce the risk of water accumulation in the basement.
- TripleSafe® Sump Pump System: Designed to remove water collected by the interior drainage system, this system includes three pumps offering different levels of protection including in the event of a pump failure or power outage thanks to its battery-powered backup pump.
- Crack Repair with FlexiSpan®: Used to seal cracks in foundation walls, this flexible system is designed to accommodate the natural movement of concrete and direct potential seepage toward the drainage system.
By combining these three solutions, Systèmes Sous-Sol Québec has implemented a comprehensive water management system tailored to the issues encountered in this basement. This project aims to limit water infiltration, improve foundation drainage, and reduce the long-term risks of moisture and water accumulation.
