Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Waterproofing and structural reinforcement of a basement in Frelighsburg, Quebec

This project in Frelighsburg demonstrates how a basement affected by moisture and water infiltration was completely remediated, step by step. Initially, the space had high humidity levels, persistent odors, and signs that could have led to more significant damage over time. The project began with the installation of Drainage Matting and CleanSpace to create an effective moisture barrier and protect the surfaces. The WaterGuard system was then added to intercept water at the foundation level and direct it to a drainage point. A SuperSump pump was installed to ensure constant and reliable drainage of water to the outside. Structurally, the walls were stabilized using PowerBrace to ensure their integrity, while SmartJacks were used to reinforce the floor support. To complete the project, an extended downspout was installed to divert water away from the foundation and reduce the risk of water accumulation around the house. This gallery clearly illustrates the transformation from a problematic basement to a dry, solid, and much safer space in the long term.
