The SmartJack system raises and stabilizes beams and floor joists in your crawl space. A specially designed solid backfill base addresses the problem of inadequate foundation soil by transferring the weight of the house to a competent soil layer. Steel columns are secured under the beams or joists of the crawl space. Robust threaded rods allow each SmartJack pole to be adjusted to the desired height. Like most basements, this one had water intrusions at the entrances. The owner contacted us to find out what we could do to resolve this problem. Our waterproofing system is installed above the footing, under the concrete. It thus captures all the water that rises from the ground before it reaches the surface and directs it to the water pump that we have installed at the lowest point. In order to prevent moisture from escaping into the house, we also installed a vapor barrier membrane on the walls.

Our technicians led by foreman Eugene Alexeenco then proceeded to install a CleanSpace membrane, a SmartSump pump system, and two SmartJack support pillars. They also applied the Mold-X Neutralizer to areas affected by mold.
