In L'Ange-Gardien, a homeowner was dealing with persistent moisture infiltration in their crawl space—a condition prone to compromising both structural integrity and indoor air quality. Furthermore we have installed our companies’ SmartJack Support Pillars which are steel support systems used to stabilized and level the girders and floor joists in a crawl space, in addition to our companies’ CleanSpace liner to keep moisture from entering the area through the dirt floor.

At the start, our production team installed SilverGlo insulation panels on the walls. These panels will reflect the heat into the crawl space. And so the house walls and floors will be less warm.

And then we have covered the soil with a vapor barrier called CleanSpace. This membrane is a 20mil plastic coating composed of several layers of plastic with different characteristics of flexibility and strength. It also has an antibacterial additive that blocks the growth of mold and fungi on the coating.
