We have solved this solution with our Supportworks' patented PowerBrace system which is specifically designed to stabilize foundation walls with zinc-plated steel beams that adapt to your wall height and floor joists.

Faced with a faulty pump no longer defending their basement against intrusive water, our Rivière-Beaudette homeowner made the timely decision to call us. As you can see in the before photo, the outdated setup simply couldn’t keep up. Our solution was installing a state-of-the-art TripleSafe Sump Pump system. There are many cities like Saint-Zotique along lakes or streams. Although it is very pleasant during hot summers, it also means that the soils bordering these streams are often full of water. Thus, homes that rest on these floors may be infiltrated with water. This was the case of one of our clients in Saint-Zotique. The water that seeped into his crawl space harmed all this space and the air of the house. To solve this problem, we carried out a project of encapsulation and waterproofing to make this environment waterproof and impermeable. Our customer’s foundation in Lachute was curving, which is a serious problem and sign of failure in the basement foundation walls.

We have solved this problem, by installing PowerBrace galvanized steel beams and several smartJacks.

The beams form a system designed specifically to support the walls of failed foundations and to straighten the walls to their original position over time. Zinc coated, the PowerBrace system resists erosion, reduces abrasion and makes beams non-toxic

As for the SmartJack  Support Pillars , those are steel support systems used to stabilized and level the girders and floor joists in a crawl space.

In Addition they are super strong (support loads of more than 60,000 lbs.), and is the only solution that addresses problem soils.

The sump should have an airtight lid on it to prevent water from evaporating out of the sump hole into the basement, to stop stuff from falling in that can clog the pump or switch, and to quiet the system.

We changed our client’s non hermetic pump in Lachute and replaced it with our TripleSafe sump pump.
