Problem:

Moisture in the basement. The concrete block foundation walls were not insulated and Ms. Ducharme therefore wished to have them insulated.

The efflorescence (white color) on the concrete shows that there has been infiltration of water and humidity through the walls.

 Solution:

Insulate concrete walls with our Foamax insulation panels. Made of high performance polyisocyanurate foam and coated with a white finish on one side and a vapor barrier on the back, Foamax makes the basement warmer and brighter.

This client contacted our company to tell us that she had water leaking in her crawl space, centered around a pipe. It became worse in the rainy and melting seasons. The expanded polystyrene SilverGlo insulation contains graphite particles that reflect heat and preserve it inside your basement. Thus, the insulation has a lower thermal conductivity, but a higher R-value per inch. The graphite infused polystyrene interior foam resists heat flow. Finally, the radiant barrier reflects the heat inside for ultimate savings in energy consumption.

In Mr. Birks' basement, there were 2 cracks on the walls of his foundation.
