Installation of a vapor barrier in a crawl space in Kirkland, Q
The problem
Mr. Cloghesy had an earthen crawl space which was very wet. Moisture from the crawl space spreads to upper floors and sometimes creates a foul odor. He contacted Systèmes Sous-sol Québec to install a vapor barrier in his crawl space in order to regain the comfort of his home and use the space as storage.
The solution
Install our drainage membrane as well as our CleanSpace coating. The drainage membrane is installed on the earthen floor, it creates a drainage space for water to flow to the interior French drain or sump pump system. Ideal for covering earthen and rocky ground, it creates an air space which acts as a thermal cushion giving a certain insulation value. Next, our 20mm thick CleanSpace liner is a blend of high and low density polyethylene making it puncture resistant and flexible. It thus blocks moisture from the basement and gives a clear and clean appearance to the void.
Moisture Control and Structural Reinforcement in Havelock, Quebec
In Havelock, this crawl space was causing several problems that homeowners are all too familiar with: persistent dampness, odors wafting into the house, early signs of mold, and a structure that was beginning to weaken over time. The space was far from healthy and risked compromising both the structural integrity of the home and everyday comfort. To set things right, our team opted for a comprehensive and sustainable solution: installing the CleanSpace® system to insulate and protect the floor, adding a drainage membrane for better water control, reinforcing the joists with the SmartJack® system, and installing the SmartSump™ sump pump to ensure effective drainage of any accumulated water. After our work, the difference is clear: the crawl space is now dry, clean, and much more stable. This type of solution not only protects the foundation but also improves indoor air quality and prevents problems from recurring over time.
Replacing A Sump Pump System in Blainville
This customer's existing sump pump was causing too much humidity and odours in the basement, especially because the pit is open. In addition, having a plastic pump which overheats, a ball on a wire floater which gets stuck, and no back-up system left the client vulnerable to basement floods. We replaced this with our SuperSump system and a back-up Ultrasump system. Now this homeowner can have peace of mind, that the water will be diverted away from his basement, even if there is a power outtage!
Changing of a sump pump in Blainville, Qc
This customer contacted us because he wanted to change his sump pump. So we sent one of our certified specialists in basement waterproofing and he presented him with several options that could meet his demands.
This Blainville customer finally opted for our TripleSafe pump. This sump pump system has three pumps, so three more protection against possible flooding or water infiltration.
The first pump is used to pump water under normal conditions.
In case your main pump breaks down or is at maximum capacity, the second pump will take over and help the main pump to evacuate the water. In addition, this system is accompanied by a third pump in case there is a failure of the sump system or if there is a tripping of the circuit breaker.
In short, equipped with the TripleSafe system, this Blainville client will have no fear and can have a peace of mind, because his basement is equipped with an excellent system.
Water infiltration in Blainville,Qc
Mr. Pomerleau contacted us because his basement was experiencing water infiltration. After our free inspection, our specialist found the perfect solution for our client. Our team installed an interior foundation drain under the concrete slab. Then we installed a SuperSump, which is a sump pump system that can be installed with a battery backup pump. Then, to prevent flooding due to frozen pipes in winter, we installed an IceGuard system that provides a second flow path for water.
