Mr. Grant wanted to sell his house but the state of his crawl space was not encouraging many potential buyers and he was not receiving as many offers as he wanted.

Our specialist took his time and assessed the place in order to make sure that the best solution was found for Mr. Grant.

Our team started first by installing a pump specially designed for crawl spaces, the SmartSump. This pump keeps the crawl space dry on the cutting edge of technology. Next, we encapsulated the space with the CleanSpace product, which helps make the space clean, usable and cuts moisture. Under this membrane, we have added Drainage Matting, to facilitate the redirection of water to the pump.

Problem

Mr. Ste-Marie has several problems related to his crawl space:

• Humidity and musty smell in the house

• Sensation of a softer floor in certain places

• Water infiltration

Solution

To address moisture issues, water infiltration and softer flooring, our team encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace drainage membrane and our vapor barrier installing them on the dirt floor and on 4 feets to cover the foundation walls. Next, we installed a SmartSump sump pump system designed to address water seepage in the crawl space.

Facing water infiltration and excess humidity within a basement in Saint-Paul-De-L'ile-Aux-Noix, Quebec, we put in place our patented WaterGuard internal drainage, which will perfectly channel all the infiltrated water outside and far from the house's foundation. In addition, and to regulate the humidity levels, we installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier on the walls. Same will also channel the infiltrated water from the walls directly to the drainage system and will not allow it to evaporate, thus reducing the humidity.

Client was satisfied with the outcome, as he will be soon finishing the basement with peace of mind.
