Crawl Space Repair Before & After Photos

Tucked away in scenic Hampstead, QC, a homeowner faced the chill of a cold crawl space– a common dilemma that disrupts comfort and energy efficiency. Before our intervention, as visible in the photo, the space was bare and unwelcoming. However, transforming a hassle into harmonious living is our forte. By administering our CleanSpace and SilverGlo solutions, we encapsulated and insulated the area, evident in the after photo. We have completely encapsulated this crawl space by installing our CleanSpace Drain Mat under our CleanSpace Anti-mold Steam Membrane. Then we installed an UltraSump booster pump that runs on battery power during power outages. Subsequently, we solidified the crawl space structure by installing 9 SmartJack pillars and 24 PowerBrace support beams. To finalize it all, we added IceGuard and LawnScape accessories to the dump line to provide extra safety against flooding.

This client had a wet crawl space where support beams began to sag. The infiltrating water was neither blocked nor drained, which caused it to accumulate in the air and be absorbed by the support beams.

To solve this problem, we installed a CleanSpace membrane to block water vapor, a SmartDrain drain to accumulate and redirect water, as well as SmartJacks support pillars and SmartJacks support beams.

A wet crawl space might be dangerous for the house, for it might affect the whole structure of the place.

Also, mud floors are filled with water and transmit water vapors filled with moisture, bacteria, and mold. As the air flows upwards, the air in the crawl space goes to the upper floors of your home, causing you to breathe infected air.

We have encapsulated and stabilized this crawl space in Hemmingford, by installing our patented CleanSpace vapor barrier membrane. The CleanSpace membrane is composed of 7 layers of treated polyethylene in which an antibacterial additive is added. The membrane is finally treated with an ultra-violet additive in order to extend its resistance and its life span as long as possible. In addition, we installed our SmartJacks that are specially designed for crawl spaces. They support and stabilize your foundations and are adjustable to adapt to the movement of the ground.
