Basement Waterproofing Before & After Photos

A resident of Saint-Lambert contacted Basement Systems Quebec in order to have his basement inspected by a specialist. Due to hydrostatic pressure, the water that accumulated around the foundation easily seeped through it and ended up on the basement floor. Our technicians recommended the installation of the WaterGuard interior foundation drain system and the SuperSump sump pump system. Once the installation was complete, our client’s basement was completely waterproofed.

Here is one of our worksites in Saint-Lambert, where we changed the open and poorly performing pedestal pump with our company’s best sump pump systems, the TripleSafe.

Pumps on pedestals overheat and usually make more noise since they are installed outside the sump!

The TripleSafe system, as you see in the photo, has 3 pumps including a battery-operated backup pump to continuously operate and minimize the risk of water infiltration into the basement.

Solution

Waterproof the basement by installing a WaterGuard interior foundation drain throughout the footing and a SuperSump sump pump system.

Basements are built below grade; this is why they tend to suffer from water seepage. You may notice moist basement walls from time to time, water puddles here and there, or worst-case scenario flooding during the rainy season.

Humid, damp, or downright wet basements are bad for the entire house’s health and can result in mold and mildew growth, rotted wood, and damage to stored items.

One of our client’s basement in Montreal East was undergoing major water infiltrations around the foundation and contacted us asking about our free inspection and quote.

We sent one of our specialists who recommended the installation of an interior drain system on the foundation footing as well as a vapor barrier membrane and a SuperSump sump pump system.

This crawl space in Montreal East was very wet and clearly had moisture and mold odors on the surface due to water infiltrations. We went to inspect this place and noticed the high level of humidity in it. Consequently, we installed a complete crawl space encapsulation and insulation system to insulate the house from the soil.

SilverGlo insulation panels are panels that preserve the warmth of foundation walls and reflect it inward.

The CleanSpace membrane blocks moisture and contains an antibacterial that prevents mold growth.

The SmartDrain collects water from the ground.

Finally, we installed the SaniDry Sedona, which is a very powerful dehumidifier that dries the crawl space air and that redirects it in the crawl space to dry materials. It collects water from the air and lowers the moisture content to an acceptable and recommended level (50-55%).
